Why get involved

Church should be a place of hope, support, and understanding. But for many struggling with their mental health, it can feel isolating or misunderstood.  With our training, we’re helping churches grow in confidence, compassion, and practical skills to support mental health well.

We can’t do this alone.

This work grows through people like you; people who care, who share, and who are willing to be part of change.

At Encourage Mental Health we are committed to creating a compassionate and inclusive community. We recognise that lived experience of mental health challenges can be incredibly valuable in supporting others, and we warmly welcome applications from people who bring this perspective.

We also welcome and value applications from people who are carers, or who are living with a disability or long-term health condition. We are committed to making reasonable adjustments wherever possible to support our volunteers to thrive.

We believe that everyone is made in God’s image and has unique gifts to offer, and we seek to create a supportive environment where those gifts can be used with dignity and care.
