Volunteer Role: Training & Events Coordinator (Administration Support)

About the Role

Encourage Mental Health is looking for a volunteer to support the organisation and administration of training workshops and events, including a national church mental health conference.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys organising, planning, and making sure things run smoothly behind the scenes. Your contribution will help ensure that churches and organisations have a positive and well-coordinated experience.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Coordinating bookings for church training workshops (dates, times, details)
  • Communicating with churches and organisations via email
  • Sending confirmations, joining information, and follow-up messages
  • Keeping records of bookings and enquiries up to date
  • Supporting the planning and organisation of a national church mental health conference
  • Helping coordinate logistics (e.g. schedules, speakers, resources)
  • Assisting with general admin tasks to support training delivery

What We’re Looking For

You don’t need to have done this role before, but it would help if you:

  • Are organised and enjoy planning and coordinating tasks
  • Have good attention to detail
  • Communicate clearly and professionally via email
  • Are comfortable using basic digital tools (e.g. email, spreadsheets, calendars)
  • Can work independently and follow through on tasks
  • Have an interest in mental health and/or supporting churches

Time Commitment

  • Flexible, around 2–5 hours per week
  • May increase slightly around events (especially the conference)
  • Remote, with occasional online check-ins
